I was thinking that it would be quite off for me to bring the house key to school. Mom is off to a work trip and dad is busy with work. I am in charge of the house for now so it is a bit of a task to be at home before every one else. Usually mom would just leave the keys by the eaves but then I am not up to something like that. I asked dad to get key lockbox for us.He knows I would not be happy taking along with me the keys so he had to agree with me about the key lockbox. Dad is a bit open about the idea of keeping a key lockbox and we know that it would be the best thing for us to do… until mom comes back at least.

Last week I purchased the loveliest bar known to man. It is mahogany wood with a lovely inlaid pattern. It is a bar to dream about, and I do. Frequently! However, the bar wrecked my bank account, complete massacre. I could not afford the accompanying bar stools. How I long for a bertoia stool to match the loveliest bar known to man. Its times like this when I wonder what came first the bar or the stool. Obviously the bar came first in this scenario, but it may have been wiser to buy the stools first. As it is I’m must sit a crossed the room, on the couch, to admire my bar!

My granddaughter is turning three this summer, and my son and his wife are having a big birthday party for her. The Old Home Days celebration is this coming weekend, and I’m planning to take my field recorder along so I can do some podcasting on site. There’s always so much going on and it’s a great opportunity to see people you haven’t seen in a long time.

I’m hoping that some of the musicians will let me record their performances too. They’ve always got some very cool acts. Usually at least one accordion-based group for Polkas and lots of other odd little bands. Some great acoustic guitar stuff every year too.

Not sure if the guy with the bagpipes will be back this year, but he was truly amazing. Wish I’d gotten him recorded last year.
