Picking The Right Headshot As An Actor.

January 25th, 2010 by admin

Being an actors headshot photographer in England I offer this advice. There are several different styles of headshot, some more suitable for the UK and others more relevant to the market in the America. When choosing a style of actor’s headshot for yourself, here are some things to consider. -  Do you want  a headshot with clean lighting or something with stronger more atmospheric    lighting effects? -  Would you prefer studio or location headshots? -  Maybe you’d like something really commercial that’s cropped in tight or even something slightly more stylish.  -  Think of the type of work you want to do, is it theatre, film, musical theatre, or more commercial work. Whatever your preference is pitch your headshot for that niche.By doing some research in advance with regards to the type of headshot you want will make things easier on the day for you and your photographer. Hopefully in your research you’ll have found a headshot photographer that can photograph in the style you want. Giving him clear instructions can avoid all kinds of misunderstandings, especially disappointments. Don’t be afraid to take an example of a prior shot that you like with you, equally so the same goes if you’ve had headshots done before and didn’t like them you can use one to show the photographer what you were unhappy with.
