The Old Home Days celebration is this coming weekend, and I’m planning to take my field recorder along so I can do some podcasting on site. There’s always so much going on and it’s a great opportunity to see people you haven’t seen in a long time.

I’m hoping that some of the musicians will let me record their performances too. They’ve always got some very cool acts. Usually at least one accordion-based group for Polkas and lots of other odd little bands. Some great acoustic guitar stuff every year too.

Not sure if the guy with the bagpipes will be back this year, but he was truly amazing. Wish I’d gotten him recorded last year.
