The Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Requires Willpower

February 21st, 2010 by admin

Far too many people these days choose to take the easy way out and, in this, losing weight is no exception. I have two friends who were extremely overweight and, being overweight myself, I understand how difficult it is to make the correct choices; to exercise when it is painful, to choose that carrot stick rather than the chips and dip. However, what I do not understand is how somebody can forego giving a real effort to trying to lose weight in favor of vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery. The latter is the option my two friends picked and, although they both lost weight, it is now going back on again. You simply cannot have a procedure like and expect miracles. If you do not have the necessary willpower, the weight will come back. Yes, they are certainly eating smaller portions now, but even smaller portions of chips and dips will pile on the pounds.
