I have never had to buy a water heater before and obviously, I have no idea what to be looking for. All I know is that I do not want to be without hot water again. I could kind of tell that something was wrong with ours but now I know for sure. For awhile I was just running out of hot water and I just kept taking shorter showers. If I previously had a traditional water heater, if there is such a thing, is it possible to replace it with solar hot water heaters or will it require a lot of changes to the plumbing?
